Spiritual Companionship provides an opportunity to explore one’s spiritual journey in the company of someone who will listen and help them reflect on the deep questions of life and their relationship with the Holy, however they conceive of that.  Together, with attentiveness to the Sacred in our midst, we will journey toward greater understanding of the self and what meaning can be made when that Sacredness is given space to reveal itself. 

A typical spiritual companionship session may include a time of grounding or centering, reflection on life issues from a spiritual perspective, silence, exploration of one’s concept of the Holy, the use of spirituality in decision making, and discovering spiritual practices including prayer and meditation among others that are meaningful. Your goals will direct the content. 

As a trained Spiritual Companion, I offer myself as a deep listener who will be present to you without judgement, compassionate, and open to your path in a safe and sacred space.  I am not trained as a therapist and do not provide such services.  Should our conversations indicate the need, I am happy to make a referral.  I am an ordained Unitarian Universalist Minister. 

You can expect that our sessions will be held in strict confidentiality.  As a mandated reporter, exceptions include situations where a client poses a danger to themselves or others, where I am required by a court of law to disclose information, or in the event of disclosure of child abuse or suicide attempt. For the purpose of professional supervision, wherein personal information would be redacted, a session may be discussed. 

Sessions are typically one hour in length, meeting on a monthly basis, and can be held in person or on zoom, depending upon location.  For cancellations or to reschedule please contact me 24 hours in advance via email or phone.  I am implementing a three-tier pay from the heart fee schedule to ensure my ministry is equitably available. My reduced fee is $50/hr.; my standard fee is $75/hr. and my pay it forward fee is $100/hr. This fee structure is held with flexibility. Please don’t allow cost to prevent you from reaching out.
