In every culture there exist milestones along life’s path.  We are born, come of age, give birth ourselves, create homes, marry, and die.  These are just some examples of the life events that we often mark with rites and rituals to set them apart.  This ministry calls me to come alongside you as you celebrate the passages of your life; to assist you in making the most meaning of the times you choose to honor.  There is no moment too mundane to draw a sacred circle around and I am available to guide you in this process.  I look forward to opportunities to share in the meaning making on your journey. Weddings

The union of two persons in the sacred bond of marriage is an especially beautiful milestone.  It is a time of making public the private and intimate commitments that have already been expressed through word and deed in the midst of a loving relationship.  A marriage ceremony tells the story of that relationship; of those promises; of that love which has taken root in your hearts and blossomed forth.

I am delighted to work with you in the creation of a ceremony that reflects your values and traditions; your hopes for a shared life; your joy in having discovered this partner.  Whether you desire a simple gathering of immediate family or friends in a quiet setting meaningful to you or you choose a larger venue with all the trimmings, I am available to meet with you to talk about your plans.   

Wedding preparation includes a minimum of three meetings, pre-marital counseling, oversight of a rehearsal and the ceremony itself.  Over this time I will have the privilege of getting to know you and together we will craft a ritual that is memorable and rich with meaning.  I am licensed as a marriage officiant in the State of Massachusetts and consider ceremonies in other states.

Celebration of Life

The honoring of a life at the time of death or passing is a way to celebrate the meaning that was made in person’s living.  We memorialize their existence, lifting it up with all of its brilliance and humanness, holding the pieces in sacred connection.  We grieve the loss and share the impact of one life upon many.  Celebrations of Life are opportunities to bring closure to the many emotions attached to death.

However you choose to celebrate the life of a loved one, I am available to help you create a ritual that is the most meaningful for you, your family and your friends. Whether you desire a full memorial service or a simple graveside ceremony or something in between of your own design, I will work with you to honor the life you wish to hold in sacred space.

Celebrations of Life include a meeting to learn about your loved one and the meaning they created in the lives of family and friends, a time to discuss plans for the ritual, and the ceremony itself.  Separate committals may also be arranged for.
